An opportunity for IP scholars seeking future careers

Last year's successful applicant
Via Katfriend Martin Husovec (Tilburg University) comes the news of the following opportunity for IP scholars:

"The Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) invites interested candidates with a record of strong legal scholarship related to intellectual property and technology to submit an initial research idea that could be jointly developed into an application under MSCA European individual fellowships call.

In the field of intellectual property (see here for other fields), TILT is in particular interested in projects studying:

·        the relationship between competition, exclusive rights and innovation,
·        intellectual property enforcement,
·        issues of internet intermediaries and platforms in general,
·        emerging problems related to big data,
·        standardization and intellectual property,
·        role of fundamental rights in shaping IP policy, and
·        Europeanization of intellectual property and unfair competition law.

The Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) conducts teaching and research into the regulation of technologies and technology-related societal innovation. The mission of Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) is to explore and understand the interplay between technology, regulation and fundamental values/human rights; to study emerging technologies, their impact on the individual and society; and to assess the need for regulation of technologies. See more about TILT here.

The MSC European individual fellowships provide grants for up to 24 months academics mobility. The deadline for applications is 14 September 2016."

Thanks Martin and good luck to the applicants!
